The soft starter not only greatly reduces the friction and inertia of the fan due to the large inertia of the blade and rotor, but also avoids the damage of the fan bearing, belt, blade and other parts due to excessive instantaneous torque. The application of the soft starter on the fan effectively solves the problems of high starting current and mechanical shock, especially for the scenario that does not require speed regulation but needs gentle start and stop. Field irrigation

Compared with frequency converters, soft starters cost less and are suitable for irrigation scenarios without speed regulation. In the field irrigation system, the soft starter mainly acts on the three-phase asynchronous motor that drives the water pump, and adopts the voltage slope start or current limited start mode, so that the motor speed is gradually increased from zero to the rated speed, avoiding the instantaneous high current generated by the traditional direct start. When shut down, optional soft stop function, by linear reduction of voltage to gently reduce the pump speed, inhibit the water hammer effect. The soft starter effectively solves the problems of high current impact, mechanical stress concentration and water hammer effect of the pump motor through flexible start-stop control and multiple protection mechanisms in the field irrigation system, and significantly improves the reliability and economy of the system.
